The climate and meditative sitting spot needs to be in harmony. That will support the practitioners. The practitioners should consider whether the weather and the meditative sitting place are hot or cold. When it is hot, one finds an appropriate response, such as taking off a layer of clothes; when it is cold, one wears warm clothes. In Tibet and Japan, the meditative sitting practitioner wears only a loincloth. A pleasant climate assists the meditative sitting practitioner, so the masters of meditation have built hermitages at places with favorable climates.
