❖ Build the sect by worship and faithful mind.
❖ Set the principles by divine writing, which is received by a practitioner in the form of impromptu poems.
❖ Create the essence by pure stillness, meditative sitting, and the saint’s supernatural efficacy.
❖ Establish the use by drum-castanets, offered ceremonies, and formal dress.
Nowadays, this sect is found in great numbers and divided into many forms with different degrees of superstition. One form is praying for the Buddha-Mother, the Great Saint, or the Divine Fairy. The other forms are the falling into trance and the seeking of shadow (through the form of superior beings which enter the body of the practitioner, who then dances). Worship and ceremonies are organized in shrines. No types of this meditative practice are outside the scope of divine writing, which is received by certain practitioners in the form of impromptu speech and poems.
